A happy care home is one that’s packed with characters and people who actually care about the residents. It can take a little while to find the perfect care home for your loved-one but you may want to consider some or all of the following:

The location

Is it quiet, peaceful or near amenities? Are the routes into town good?

Food

What’s the standard of the food like, is it something you’d be happy to eat on a daily basis?

Interaction

Is there lots going on? Is there enough space for everyone to socialise comfortably or is it cramped?

Décor

Is it painted nicely and clean from head to toe? Is the furniture modern or is it old and musky?

Happiness

Does it look like a happy place? You’ll get a gut feeling when you enter, so be sure to trust it.
