Supporting People
Supporting people is a government initiative aimed at enabling vulnerable people with housing related support needs to live independently in the community. Without this support a person might be unable to manage their accommodation on their own. This is an enabling service whereby your Support Worker will work with you but not for you.
Caretime Services is funded by Plymouth Supporting People to provide support to eligible adults in Plymouth. It is currently a free service but our service is not available in Devon.
If you think you are eligible or know someone who might need support please contact us.
Here are some of the tasks that may be eligible.
- Occasional prompts to take medication.
- Occasional help with shopping, running errands. Advice to set up home, managing
- finances, and benefit claims, (but not control).
- Help in gaining access to other services.
- Emotional support, counselling and advice on issues related to housing situation or tenancy.
- Developing social skills/skills to live independently.
